3 interesting facts about electric scooters

Electric scooters, an ecological solution?

Here are three interesting facts about electric scooters:

1: Electric scooters were invented more than a century ago, but were not commercialized until recently. Surprisingly, in 1915, a company called Autoped started producing electric scooters, but they never reached mass production level.

2: You probably know that electric scooters have become a popular alternative to cars in big cities due to their practical and ecological concept. According to a study conducted in 2020, electric scooter users in Los Angeles traveled more than 8 million kilometers in one year, which reduced greenhouse gas emissions by over 1500 tons!

3: Electric scooters have advanced technology. Some electric scooters are equipped with sensors that detect obstacles on the road and automatically adjust the speed to avoid collisions. Additionally, some electric scooters have regenerative braking systems, which use kinetic energy to recharge the battery during braking.

So basically, some electric scooters are equipped with a kinetic energy recovery system called regenerative braking. This system uses an electric generator that is activated when you brake or slow down, converting kinetic energy into electricity, which is then stored in the battery to recharge it. In this way, the regenerative braking system extends the range of the electric scooter by using energy that would otherwise be lost during braking.
